I love pineapple quilt blocks and quilts. They are my preferred block to put together. I love any and all variations and color ways. The pineapple is quite simple but looks amazingly detailed.
The following block pic is one of my favorite quilts that I have made. It is a mini pineapple quilt. The finished quilt measures 5 inches by 5 inches and each block is 1-1/2 inches by 1-1/2 inches.
This next pic is one I found on Pinterest, I do not know who the maker is or the photographer. It is from the Mountain Quiltfest Show in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. There is quite the creative mind behind the variation using pineapples.
A Hawaiian pineapple quilt is quite different from a pieced pineapple. Hawaiian pineapple quilts are appliquéd silhouettes of the pineapple fruit. This following quilt is a combination of both types of pineapple quilts. Again, I do not know who the credit goes to for the photo or the work; it is from the Boundary Bay Quilters’ Guild Show in Delta, BC, Canada
Here is one that is literally “paper pieced”; it is made out of paper, probably for a scrapbook page.
The following two are non-traditional. The first is using a softer color way. The second is using off center triangles, almost making it look like fractals.
The next 5 photos are a nice variety of color way examples, some traditional and others not so traditional.
They are beautiful and fun and my favorite to make.
I hope you enjoy them, too.
Most of the pics in this post I do not know who to give photo credit to or who the artists are either.
